Overview
These plugins are contained in the HOFA SYSTEM MixBox:
CompChan
The CompChan sounds like the characteristic channel compressor of the most successful analog mixing boards. You will love the punch on drums and the way it makes bass and other instruments sound vibrant and controlled.
CompSum
CompSum is a specialist for sums and buses equipped with numerous automatic control functions, which also excels when used with vocal and solo instruments.
CompListenMic
The CompListenMic is an emulation of the talkback compressor of a famous british mixing console.
In the 1980s, this compressor was often used to enhance the room sound of drum recordings.
EQ-Parametric
The EQ-Parametric features 11 identically equipped filter bands, ranging from 13 to 20,000 Hz and a high-precision analyser.
For each band you can choose from:
- High and lowcut (6, 12, 24, 48 dB/oct)
- Bandpass filter with adjustable Q factor
- Bell filter (Q 0.1 – 36)
- High and low shelves
- Vintage high and low shelves
- GainMode
Do you need another filter band?
Simply click the plus button – the EQ plugin window is exactly as big as you need it.
Clicking on the frequency curve opens the large curve editor with analyser for all those who favour a precise optical feedback.
In combination with up to 32x oversampling (which is available for all SYSTEM plugins), you get an ultra-flexible, clear and highly musical EQ suitable for all applications.
Delay
Delay is a simple plugin that features delay times of up to 4095 ms. It can be synced to the host tempo with selectable note values – even triplet and dotted notes. Use Delay in the #Feedback plugin for very complex delay sounds.
Distortion
This plugin generates harmonics and overtones. In combination with the #Multiband plugin and EQ-Parametric, the sound possibilities are endless.
PitchMicro
This plugin can change the pitch by up to 100 cent.
PitchMacro
This plugin can change the pitch by up to 12 semitones.
Expander
Upward expander with adjustable ratio to boost louder signals; quiet signals are not affected.
Gate
Standard gate with hold function that can be used for drum processing.
Gain
Adjust the level from -60 to +20 dB. Includes phase reverse and DualGain function to edit the left and right channel separately.
Pan
Pan plugin with adjustable stereo width and DualPanning mode.
Meter
Peak hold metering and intersample peak metering.
PinkNoise
Noise generator for measurement and effect applications.
The following plugins are only available in HOFA SYSTEM and cannot be used as DAW plugins, as they are designed for routing and signal flow within SYSTEM.
#SubChain
This plugin allows you to adjust the DRY/WET ratio of several plugins at once.
#Feedback
Parts of the signal are fed back to the input via the feedback path, which can lead to fascinating results. The chain presets offer many interesting suggestions.
#DualMono
This plugin allows you to process the left and right channel separately. You can insert different plugins on each side.
#Mid/Side
This plugin allows you to process the mid and side channel separately. Simply drag the desired plugin into the mid and/or side channel.
#Multiband
Add multiple compressors, distortion plugins, etc. in a row for multiband processing. You can use as many plugins as you like. The crossover frequency and slope (6, 12, or 24 dB/oct) can be freely adjusted.
#Parallel
This routing plugin allows for unlimited parallel processing of signals.
Parameter Modulations
You can use oscillators (sine, square, sawtooth, triangle and random) to modulate all kinds of controls. The creative possibilities are endless…
Notepad
The notepad plugin allows you to add notes to your presets.
Freeware version
All plugins from the HOFA SYSTEM series are also available as freeware with a slightly limited feature set. Simply install HOFA SYSTEM using the HOFA-Plugins Manager. You can then use all freeware features immediately.

My personal favourite so far is the EQ which sounds incredibly effective. The compressors have a very nice attack and you can use feedback and cross-over filter to roughen a sound. AlgoVerb sounds wonderfully dense and blends perfectly with the signal.

You have two licenses available. These are managed via the HOFA Plugins Manager, where they can also be deactivated and transferred to other computers.
It is also possible to activate and use HOFA plugins offline. Licenses on USB sticks can be used alongside USB licenses from other plugin manufacturers without any issues.
