Ultimate flexibility in the feedback path
The DelayPro feedback path gives you the freedom to insert other plugins such as EQ, pitch, saturator, reverb, modulation and gate. This allows you to achieve any sound you want with just a few clicks.
Your perfect retro tape delay? Just insert a Saturator with the Tape algorithm, add some EQ and modulation if you like, and you’re done!
Sci-fi warp delay? PitchMacro, AlgoVerb and MultiMod in feedback mode will beam you there!
The ultimate vocal delay for ballads? Ping-pong with panning, CompSum, chorus and IR-Verb.

Bucket brigade delay
The bucket/noise function of the HOFA SYSTEM DelayPro allows you to create timeless and characterful delays – perfect for audio engineers looking for something special.
DelayPro offers an authentic emulation of this analog delay system, in which the audio signal is progressively passed through a chain of capacitors. You can choose from four different sound variants: Neutral, Modern, Standard and Vintage. You’ll love these warm, organic delays with interesting noise and artifacts.

Which one should I go for?
Both plugins give you high-quality delay sounds with syncable delay time, feedback up to self-oscillation, and exciting sound variations.
Choose the HOFA SYSTEM DelayPro if you want maximum flexibility and love to experiment creatively.
The DelayPro is available at a lower price, but the sound possibilities increase with the number of activated SYSTEM plugins.
The HOFA Colour Delay is the better choice if you are looking for a delay that allows you to quickly achieve all typical delay sounds. The on-board effects are specially optimised for delay sounds and ensure a streamlined workflow.
Freeware version
All plugins from the HOFA SYSTEM series are also available as freeware with a slightly limited feature set. Simply install HOFA SYSTEM using the HOFA-Plugins Manager. You can then use all freeware features immediately.

HOFA plugins are continuously tested on the following DAWs:

You have two licenses available. These are managed via the HOFA Plugins Manager, where they can also be deactivated and transferred to other computers.
It is also possible to activate and use HOFA plugins offline. Licenses on USB sticks can be used alongside USB licenses from other plugin manufacturers without any issues.

Ich benutze das Delay Pro für eine neue Produktion. In Bezug auf Qualität, Benutzerfreundlichkeit und Modularität macht es einen sehr guten Eindruck. Es ist schlank und stellt zur Verfügung, was man braucht. Super finde ich die Möglichkeit kreativ im Feedback-Weg zu experimentieren, es bietet hier eine Vielzahl an Möglichkeiten zur Klangformung. Sehr angetan bin ich auch von der Bucket Brigade Delay-Emulation, diese ermöglicht mir die Erstellung von Vintage-Delays mit analogem Charakter, sehr cool. Für mich ist es schon mehr als ein Standard-Delay und absolut zu empfehlen.

Bisher konnte ich das DelayPro in zwei Projekten verwenden. Erstmal ist es “nur” ein schlankes Delay, was in minimaler GUI alles zur Verfügung stellt, was man so von einem Delay braucht. Aber dann brauchte ich bei einem anderem Projekt etwas Besonders und erinnerte mich an das Vorstellungsvideo. Also mit Modulation und diversen Effekten im Feedback-Weg experimentiert und etwas fast schon Magisches rausbekommen. Die Kunden waren begeistert. Das modulare HOFA System ist eh ein großartiges System mit schlanker und aufgeräumter Obrefläche für ablenkungsfreies Arbeiten ohne bunte Bilder 😉 Weiter so!

Das HOFA SYSTEM DelayPro ist intuitiv zu bedienen und hat eine selbsterklärende Oberfläche. Einerseits kann es als reines Delay (beispielsweise als Send-Effekt) eingesetzt werden, andererseits bietet es nahezu unendlich viele Möglichkeiten innerhalb des HOFA SYSTEMS bei gleichzeitig maximaler Klangqualität.
Derzeit meine erste Wahl bei Delay-PlugIns.

Wooow… I’ve tested this delay compared to my SSL X-Delay (almost 4 times more expensive than the HOFA one…!) – and it’s great. So, as a standard delay comparable with the other one = same quality. But with the built in noise/distortion/bucket I was able to dial in perfect Pinkfloyd-like strat sound as well. If I was playing with a Les Paul, by adding this effect helped a lot to give a fatter body to my solo’s. I mean in the same time the dynamics were not damaged but the entire sound became “more 3D”. Highly recommended – especially for this price. Peter
