More InformationThe Colour Delay offers you four styles in the feedback loop: Tape, Bucket Brigade, Digital and Destruction. Activate these sound variants individually or combine them as you wish for completely new and extraordinary delay sounds. You can easily customize the sequence of the individual style modules using drag & drop.
This style gives you the sound and characteristics of analog tape machines. Create delay effects with warmth, saturation and the characteristic imperfections of old tape recorders.
The Bucket Brigade Delay is based on analog circuits in which a bucket brigade and a compander shape the sound. It has a soft, dark sound in which lo-fi artifacts and dynamic noise add a typical character.
Do you want the agreeable shortcomings of the first digital delays for your production? The “Digital” style emulates aliasing and quantization distortions caused by low sampling rates and bit depths.
The Destruction style combines tube and clip controls for a powerful, saturated sound. This gives you warm tube distortion and crunchy clipping for creative sound experiments and impressive soundscapes.
The interactive display gives you control over your delay sounds. This user-friendly interface makes it easy to create both conventional and crazy delay and echo effects.
The upper display shows the pulses over time and visualizes the modulation. Dry/wet, delay time and feedback can be adjusted directly in this diagram.
Underneath, you can adjust the fully parametric equalizer. And there is also a useful frequency analyzer.
This means you always have a perfect overview of your sound and can tweak it easily. Perfect for precise and creative sound design!
With the impressive post-delay effects for space, modulation and dynamics, you can shape your delay sound and add additional colours. Diffusion, phaser, chorus, auto pan and ducker are placed after the feedback loop and are designed to creatively shape the effect signal.
Each effect can be used individually or in combination. Thanks to the drag & drop function, the processing sequence can be easily modified.
The algorithms are specifically designed for delay to guarantee seamless integration and the best possible sound quality.

You have two licenses available. These are managed via the HOFA Plugins Manager, where they can also be deactivated and transferred to other computers.
It is also possible to activate and use HOFA plugins offline. Licenses on USB sticks can be used alongside USB licenses from other plugin manufacturers without any issues.

Ich liebe es, wenn Plugins inspirieren – und genau das macht Colour Delay. Schon nach wenigen Minuten hatte ich einen komplett neuen Delay-Effekt auf einem Pad-Sound, der nach Ambient-Textur und nicht nach typischem Ping-Pong klang. Besonders die Diffusion und Chorus-Effekte sind richtig stark eingebunden.
Was HOFA hier gebaut hat, ist mehr als ein Delay. Es ist ein Sounddesign-Tool. Für elektronische Musik, aber auch für Vocals und Gitarren – funktioniert in allen Kontexten. Und die CPU-Last ist dabei minimal. Top!

Wieder mal ein kreativ-intuitives PlugIn. Man kann sich entsprechend auf ein beliebiges Genre konkret ein Delay basteln. Da bleiben sehr viele Möglichkeiten offen, die Arrangements zu würzen.

Das Colour Delay ist zu meinem go to Delay Plugin für eigentlich alle Anwendungen geworden. Egal ob ich es beim mischen als Single Delay zum erzeugen früher Reflexionen nutzen möchte, um Elemente im Mix zu platzieren oder lange, komplexe und klanglich interessante Delay throws erzeugen will, es bietet ausreichend Tiefgang und eine sehr intuitive Benutzeroberfläche, sodass es nie lange dauert, meine Wunschdelays einzustellen. Klare Empfehlung!!

Liebes HOFA-Team,
Euer Colour Delay ist ein Volltreffer! Seit der ersten Nutzung gehört das Plugin zu meinen absoluten Favoriten, wenn es um kreative Delays und räumliche Tiefe geht. Die verschiedenen „Farben“ des Delays bringen jeweils einen ganz eigenen Charakter mit sich – von warmem Vintage-Feeling bis hin zu modernen, klaren Digital-Sounds.
Besonders beeindruckt bin ich von den integrierten Effekten und der Möglichkeit, das Signal umfassend zu formen – sei es durch Modulation, Sättigung, Filter oder Reverb. Der Workflow ist durch das aufgeräumte und intuitive Interface einfach fantastisch. Auch die Ducking-Funktion zeigen, dass hier wirklich an professionelle Anwender gedacht wurde.
Und das alles bei minimaler CPU-Belastung – großes Kompliment!

Super Plugin! Die Bedienung ist leicht zu verstehen und ermöglicht es, sehr schnell den gewünschten Sound zu erreichen. Die eingebauten Effekte machen das Plugin vielseitig einsetzbar. Das Colour Delay ist inzwischen meine erste Wahl für Vocals und vieles mehr!

Gut Klingendes und umfangreiches Delay Plugin. Durch die offene Übersicht kann man ganz schnell zu dem gewünschten klang kommen und in mit den einzelnen Modulationen auch noch bearbeiten.
