On macOS systems, the DDP Player must be labeled as an “executable file”. If this label is missing, you will see the following error message:
The application “HOFA DDP Player macOS.app” can‘t be opened.
The Windows file system does not use that kind of label. But it can be stored inside a zip file. Because of that, when creating the DDP Player on a Windows PC that should be usable on a macOS computer as well, it is mandatory to transfer the image as a zip file that was created by DDP Player Maker.
Even after re-packing the image with a different zip tool, the player might not be working anymore on macOS.
